The Next Cavs Superstar - That You've Never Heard Of.... Have I got a story for you today. This maybe even qualifies as breaking news. Last night the Cleveland Cavaliers signed a player that has more basketball potential than any rookie they have had since LeBron James. That includes Kyrie Irving. Another 23? If you thought I was talking about Cavs draft pick Colin Sexton, you'd be wrong. But I do think Sexton will be a very good addition. The guy I'm taking about is Billy Preston. His story is a strange one. It goes from Virginia, to Kansas, to Bosnia, to now Cleveland. Grab a cup of coffee if you want. One year ago, Billy Preston was the toast of the basketball recruiting circuit. He wasn't being recruited by every school. Just the basketball powers like Kentucky, UCLA, and Syracuse. He wound up with a commitment to national powerhouse Kansas, and highly respected Coach Bill Self. Why was Preston so highly thought of? Because he is  6'10" and ab

The 4 Rules of Fatherhood..... Today is Father's Day. It's the one day of the year Fathers are remembered and sometimes even given gifts. Mostly Dad's are overlooked. We are the other guy in the photograph. It even starts at your wedding, usually before parenthood. There is the Bride in a beautiful one of a kind gown. Then there is the groom in a rented tuxedo. Nobody much cares about the groom. Me & Kenny But being a Father is very special. It's truly a gift. I didn't even realize how special until I became a Dad. The responsibility you are given when you become a parent is enormous. Think about it. A baby literally doesn't know jack. It's your job to raise them to be good people. I love my kids. They are all different, and they are all good people. Being their Dad has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I have tried to keep certain standards for raising kids. Sometimes they are easy to follow, and sometimes they're not. I'll

Of Championships Won, and Championships Lost..... The NBA season is finally over. The Golden State Warriors have won their third championship in four years. My local Cleveland Cavaliers have lost to them for the third time in four years. Yet it seems like more than just the end of the season. It could be the end of an era. Lebron James, the This is just a blanket. But my name is sewn inside the real banner Greatest Of All Time, may have played his last game for the Cavaliers. Or maybe not. Time will tell. What is certain is that it is very unusual for the same two teams to meet in the Finals for four consecutive years. Back in the day, the Lakers and the Celtics would meet often. But not four consecutive years. The story of the Cavs- Warriors series is filled with joy, sorrow, intrigue, and thoughts of what might have been. The story begins like a storybook in the summer of 2014. Local hero, Lebron James, decided there's no place like home. He decided to return to the

The Shame of the NBA..... The Finals of the NBA are the showcase for the entire sport of basketball. The series is watched with interest worldwide. The stars of the league are known and followed worldwide. This year, for the forth straight season, the Golden State Warriors are taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Four years ago, the Cavaliers might have won, except for injuries to key players. The second year, the Cavaliers did win in dramatic fashion. It was the stuff of fairytales. The third time Golden State won easily. Golden State is favored heavily to win again. But that's why we play the game. The Cavaliers have survived a tumultuous season. They are led by possibly the greatest player of all time - Lebron James. The Warriors are the greatest shooters in the game, and include the ugliest and most disgusting player in the league, Draymond Green. Last Thursday, game 1 was looking like a classic. Both teams were jockeying back and forth, with neither team gaining a sig
